We have an incredible team of coaches

Every session, you can see the energy, enthusiasm and effort you all put in to helping our players and club continue to grow. We are really proud of our coaching group, and want to make sure you all feel as valued and supported as possible.

A lot of our coaching support is done informally. However, as we continue to grow, it’s clear that we need to begin the process of adding in formal support process to ensure you are all getting what you need. We have nearly 40 coaches in our WhatsApp group!!

So, this survey is a bit of a check in point. You’ve all got different contexts and different experience levels and ambitions, coaching different ages and different skill levels. Some of you are head coaches, some of you are assistant coaches, and some of you have taken on the responsibility of driving sections of our football program. All of your insights are valuable.

PART ONE - Your season so far

We are the Jags. We want to dominate every match we play. What would help you achieve this?

PART TWO - Support

We want to make sure our coaches feel as supported as possible. That means we have to find the balance between - Letting you express yourself freely in your coaching, but also providing guidelines to ensure there's consistency across the club - Providing formal opportunities for support and growth, but also respecting your time + recognising the already-arduous time commitment we ask of you - Giving you the time and space to make mistakes and learn from practical hands-on experience, but also being there to help you if you ever feel in-over-your-head. This can be hard. We don't always get the balance right. And sometimes its a moving target in terms of getting it right. With that said, How would you like to be supported in your coaching?

We are always conscious of time. You all put so much into your coaching, and adding things like meetings, 1on1s, delivering model sessions, coaching development workshops and other things like this place a further burden on that time. But we also want to insert things that help support you and add to your coaching - whilst also increasing our collective sense of collaboration. What formal support process would you find value in, and also have the ability to commit to time-wise.
